A house on the Lawrence University campus will be moving a block away today.
The house was built in 1901 and will be moving from the 100 block of Union Street one block north to Washington Street.
Jake Woodford is the assistant to the president of the university. He says the move could take five to six hours, and comes with some difficulties avoiding power and data lines.
The university has not decided what it will do with the old house site. Woodford says they will likely turn it into more parking.
Crews have been preparing the house for the move since last week and will begin the moving process at 7 this morning.
