The weather is posing a problem for the annual Children’s Parade in downtown Appleton this afternoon.
Organizers from the Building for Kids are changing their plans. Spokeswoman Katy Compton says they’re moving the parade inside the children’s museum, and holding a party.
She says if people registered for the parade, they’ll be able to get into the Building for Kids for free, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Compton says it’s the first time they haven’t been able to hold the parade along College Avenue in the nine-year history of the event. She says they did have to cancel the party at City Park, after the parade last year, because of thunderstorms.
