The first vote on the proposed Foxconn incentives could come today.
An Assembly committee is meeting….and Majority Republicans want the full Assembly to vote on Thursday.
Rep. Adam Neylon of Pewaukee is the chair of the panel. He says they’re proposing some changes, after hearing from Republicans and Democrats. They include a requirement that Wisconsin-based workers be prioritized when Foxconn hires people. Another adds $20 million for job training programs.
Senate Republicans sent their version of the bill to the Legislature’s budget committee. There could be a public hearing on it next week.
