State investigators are looking into what led to a police shooting in Kewaunee County last night.
Sheriff Matt Joski says a man was killed by a deputy, after the sheriff’s department was called to a home on Highway AB in the town of Franklin.
He says they’ve talked with the man’s family. An autopsy was scheduled for this morning.
The state Division of Criminal Investigation is handling the case.
Joski says they’ll hand over any dash camera footage from their squads, and any technology from officers or witnesses.
It was the first police shooting in the history of the sheriff’s department.
