Workers at the United Way’s 211 hotline in the Fox Cities are ready to help in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
Manager Lisa Smith says calls can be transferred to them if other call centers are overwhelmed.
The hotline provides information on various services and shelters.
Smith says they’ve helped during previous natural disasters, such as when a tornado hit Barron County in northern Wisconsin in May.
Texas has 25 call centers. There are seven in Wisconsin including the Fox Cities and Green Bay
