The man suspected of slipping his pregnant girlfriend an abortion drug is pleading not guilty.
Forty-four-year-old Manishkumar Patel is charged in Outagamie County with first-degree intentional homicide and several other felonies. He was arrested in 2007, but he skipped town, after posting a $750,000 bond.
Patel was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol agents in northern New York in January.
Prosecutors say he put an abortion drug in the woman’s smoothie, and she later had a miscarriage.
