An 18-year-old man is pleading not guilty in the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy west of Waupaca.
Prosecutors charged Austin Hovarter with first-degree reckless homicide last month.
He also waived his right to a preliminary hearing setting up a trial in the case.
Prosecutors say Hovarter was playing cops and robbers with Jacob Peglow at a home in the town of Farmington in July.
Peglow was shot in the shoulder and he died at the house.
