A 19-year-old man from the Greenleaf area reached a plea deal in a crash that claimed two lives.
Brown County prosecutors say Devon Robley smoked marijuana before he ran a stop sign at the corner of Highway X and Glenmore Road in the town of Glenmore in July of last year.
He entered no contest pleas to two counts of homicide by negligent driving, and one count of driving with an illegal drug in his system.
Thirty-two-year-old Laurie Shaha of De Pere and 16-year-old Simon Hill of the Greenleaf area were killed. Shaha was riding in an SUV, and her mother was also seriously hurt. Hill was in Robley’s truck, and he was thrown from the truck.
Prosecutors say Robley was going around 70 miles an hour when he ran the stop sign. He’ll be sentenced in January.
