Appleton’s library board wants to ask developers to propose including a library in a mixed-use project, in the downtown.
Members approved a “request for proposals” document yesterday. They’re asking for about 120,000 square feet of space with adequate parking. They would consider new projects, or a redevelopment of the current site.
Board President Pat Exarhos says they included some specific requirements, while giving developers some space to come back with ideas that the board hasn’t thought about or considered.
The proposals would be due in January.
The city council still has to sign off on the document.
