Catholic schools in Green Bay and Appleton have the most students in the statewide voucher program.
There are nearly 270 in Green Bay’s GRACE system. St. Francis Xavier of Appleton has the second-most at 195.
Deacon Ray DuBois is the president of the Xavier system. He says the majority of Choice students they have received were new.
There are 125 voucher students at Fox Valley Lutheran in Appleton and 113 at St. Mary Catholic Schools in Neenah and Menasha. Oshkosh Lourdes has 91, and Valley Christian School in Oshkosh has 77.
The number of kids in the state that receive taxpayer-funded vouchers is up eight percent this year.
