A warehouse in Greenville that’s run by Ryder Integrated Logistics technically isn’t closing at all.
The Oshkosh Corporation is taking over the facility.
Ryder will officially lay off nearly 160 workers at the end of the year, but the Oshkosh Corporation is inviting them all to apply for positions at the warehouse.
Oshkosh Corporation spokeswoman Katie Hoxtell says they’ll be working with Ryder over the next two months, to maintain the continuity of the operations, during the transition.
Hoxtell says their subsidiary, the Oshkosh Logistics Company, will run the warehouse. It’s in the Greenville Industrial Park on Quality Drive, off Highway 96.
Ryder notified the state about the job cuts yesterday, and the letter didn’t mention that the warehouse will stay open under new owners.
