Oshkosh has offered Oshkosh Corporation 20 years of tax incentives to stay in the city.
Community development director Allen Davis says the plan gives $6 million in the first 12 years. He says they need to be nationally competitive because they were looking in other states and municipalities.
Davis says the incentives package only applies if the company builds their facilities on the Lakeshore Municipal Golf Course.
He says it would keep 450 existing jobs, and potentially add 200 more.
He says they should know Oshkosh Corporation’s decision by the end of the month.
