Tom Haupt is with the state Division of Public Health. He says it’s too early to tell how bad this season’s flu is, but it’s still important to get it.
He says it’s the best way to protect yourself and those around you.
Haupt says there are some myths surrounding the vaccine. He says people believe if they get it too early it’ll be less effective. He says they also think that they’ll get the flu by getting the shot. He says neither of these are true.
He says it’s the best way to avoid going to the hospital or passing it on to others.
