Hosting a holiday gathering can be stressful enough. You put in plenty of work before the party starts, so after guests arrive you deserve to relax! This party punch recipe from Joe at Corks & Caps in Greenville will keep your guests happy and keep you from having to mix drinks for everyone!
- 2 oz Spiced Simple Syrup (1 cup water; 1 cup granulated sugar; 2 cinnamon sticks; 1
small piece nutmeg) - 2 1/2 cups apple cider (unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 oz honey
- 750ml (1 bottle) your favorite sparkling wine
Make the simple syrup by combining water, sugar and spices in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and let sit 30 minutes. Strain the syrup into a clean container and refrigerate.
Discard the cinnamon and nutmeg.
Combine the apple cider, lemon juice, honey and spiced simple syrup a pitcher, dispenser or punch bowl. Add the sparkling wine and fill with ice before serving to your guests.
