Students at Appleton North high school organized a week to change the perceptions of teenagers about homelessness.
Junior Lucy Morris helped organize RETHINK Week to spread awareness of the issue in the Appleton area. She says they hosted a number of activities, including a poverty simulation and information booths during lunch.
Morris says they also had panel discussions where students could hear from volunteers at Homeless Connections about what homelessness really looks like in the community.
She says they have more events planned for December.
