Opening weekend is in the books for the nine-day gun deer season, and a DNR warden wants to make sure hunters take precautions if they’re going on deer drives.
Jon King is a hunter education specialist. He says people need to stick to their plan, and the person pushing the deer shouldn’t have a gun or much less shoot at a running deer. He says that’s the most common way shooting accidents happen.
The gun season continues through next weekend.
