There are 10 days to go before the opening of the Menominee Nation Arena in Oshkosh, and workers are there seven days a week to finish construction.
The Wisconsin Herd’s first game there will be on December 1, and crews installed the basketball court yesterday.
Arena spokeswoman Kate Wyman says they’ve come a long way, since a former factory was torn down. She says the site was a blank slate in March.
Arena workers are undergoing training. There are other events planned at the $21 million facility, beyond basketball.
