A 21-year-old Manitowoc man is going to prison for 10 years for a crash in De Pere.
Zachary Potts was sentenced in Brown County court. He entered a no contest plea in September to a charge of homicide by driving drunk, for the death of 20-year-old Bryan Kwarciany of Escanaba, Michigan.
Investigators say Potts was going over 80 in a 25-mile-an-hour zone, just before he hit a tree in November of last year. They say the two were at a party at a nearby house.
Potts will also spend eight years on probation after he’s released from prison.
