The top cop in Dodge County had some fun with a phone scammer.
Sheriff Dale Schmidt was at work on Tuesday when he got a call from someone on an invalid number. He says she wanted him to give her access to his computer so she could install harmful programs.
Schmidt recorded the three-minute call. He says he played along for a while but when he asked her questions and mentioned his IT department, she hung up.
Schmidt says people should just hang up if someone wants to access their computer.
