A sophomore at Freedom High School will get free music lessons for a year, thanks to a program at the Mile of Music festival.
Olivia Harn won this year’s scholarship from Tundraland. She’ll take piano lessons at Heid Music in downtown Appleton.
She says her late grandfather gave her a keyboard years ago, and she would play simple songs on it. She says she learned by herself, and she hopes her grandpa is excited that she’s getting lessons.
Harn also plays guitar, and she got to pick out a free, new one this morning at Heid Music.
Tundraland has a “singing in the shower” stand at the Mile of Music to promote the scholarship.
