The Appleton Fire Department says it responded to a garage fire last night.
They say it happened just before 6:00 a.m. in the 1500 block of Grant Street. They say the fire did spread to the house.
Firefighters say seven people were home at the time of the fire. No one was hurt.
They say they were able to hold most of the damage to the garage.
They say the house is uninhabitable and the Red Cross is helping the family.
Firefighters says the cause was an unattended propane cooking appliance.
