A fire just north of Seymour spread from an attached garage to a home last night, and the family’s dog might be on the loose.
Town Fire Chief Greg Brown says all five people were able to get out of the house on Cemetery Road. He says there’s significant structural damage to the house, and water damage throughout.
Brown says a cat died in the fire, but they believe the family’s dog escaped. He says a highway department worker spotted a 10-pound weiner dog while plowing snow this morning. He says the dog was last seen by the corner of Highway 55 and Gardner Road.
He says people should call the town constable at 920-833-7488 if they find the dog.
