A Green Bay man who molested horses in two counties will spend two years on probation.
Fifty-four-year-old Sterling Rachwal was convicted of two misdemeanor counts of mistreating animals. He’s being released from jail, after he was sentenced to time served.
Rachwal will undergo a psychological evaluation, and he was ordered to stay away from properties that have horses. If he violates his probation, he could face more jail time.
Prosecutors say Rachwal was seen running from a barn in Brown County last February, and he was caught on camera at a horse farm in Manitowoc County.
His record for molesting horses dates back to the 1980s.
