People combed the Fox Cities for the homeless last night and they found twice as many sleeping outside than a year ago.
Joe Mauthe is with the Housing Partnership of the Fox Cities. He says they found 12 people. Mauthe says there were six people last year and typically they’ve found zero to six during their January count. Last night he says most of them were sleeping in cars in parking lots or ramps. He says a couple of people were on the street.
Mauthe says they reached out to everyone to make sure they know about the services that are available.
