The fast-moving technology trends are all around us. Even if we don’t “see” or “feel” them, they are shaping our world everyday. Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, the Cloud, autonomous vehicles, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are all changing the playing field for business. Those who keep up stay in business, while those who don’t get left behind.
But what about government? How does government decide if and when to invest in new disruptive technology? What does it take for local government to take the risk and implement new tools to better serve their residents?
Kurt Hahlbeck and Oliver Buchse from Advancing AI Wisconsin shared their thoughts on these big questions, and introduce their Digital County Initiative. This symposium attempts to introduce local government leaders to the concepts at the cutting edge of technology, and demonstrate how they could use these tools to serve constituents better for less money.
