Governor Walker is calling a special session of the Legislature to take up several proposals dealing with school safety.
They include creating a $100-million dollar school safety grant program, and establishing an Office of School Safety within the state justice department. He also wants to require mandatory child abuse reporters to report threats of school violence.
The package does not include any changes in gun laws or a plan to arm teachers.
