Governor Walker made a stop at a school in Ashwaubenon this morning to push for his school safety proposal.
He talked with students at Valley View Elementary.
The governor says after 9-11, people had to go through screening at airports to make sure they didn’t have weapons. He says they should have the same expectation of safety at schools.
Part of Walker’s plan would provide funding to help schools pay for armed guards.
