Seventh graders in the Hortonville School District can learn more about a variety of manufacturing jobs at a new career fair.
The “You can make it in Northeast Wisconsin” event will be at Greenville Middle School for the first time today.
Principal Travis Lawrence says they’re partnering with the NEW Manufacturing Alliance. He says nearly 20 companies from across the Fox Valley will be there. He says students identified careers they were interested in. He says they then researched companies they were interested in, and chose five they would like to get to know a bit better.
Lawrence says students will do hands-on activities with three of the companies. He says later in the evening parents can come to the school to see what their children did. He says it gives the parents an opportunity to see what employment options are available as well.
