The apartment building fire in Green Bay that sent 10 people to hospitals also caused about $300,000 in damage.
Firefighters had to rescue several people from the second floor of the seven-unit building in the 1400 block of Smith Street. They used ladders to get people out of windows.
The people who were taken to hospitals were treated for smoke inhalation.
Crews also rescued a cat, lizard, and several fish.
Part of the building’s roof collapsed. Fire investigators are looking for the cause.
