Four cats, one bird and one guinea pig were rescued from an apartment complex fire in Two Rivers yesterday afternoon.
Officials say the fire was contained to one of the apartments in the multi-unit building.
They say the fire started in a metal coffee can used as a cigarette butt container and spread to the siding.
They estimate damage at around $15 thousand.
No one was hurt.
The Red Cross is helping out the families.
