There are now two Democrats in a state Senate race in the Fox Cities.
Dan Grady of Appleton threw his hat in the ring for the 19th District seat yesterday. He’s serving his third term on the Outagamie County Board.
Grady says his first priority would be to fix the dark store loophole that impacts the assessments of retail buildings. He says the state’s political boundaries are also important, and he believes they should have a non-partisan map of the various districts.
Democrat Lee Snodgrass of Appleton announced last month that she’s running. She’s the chair of the Democratic Party in Outagamie County.
That sets up a primary on August 14.
Republican Sen. Roger Roth of Appleton is running for re-election.
