Appleton is holding a parade and ceremony to mark Memorial Day today.
It’s one of many activities that are going on around the Fox Valley for the holiday.
Parade Coordinator Greg Otis says it’s more of a procession, and it ends at Riverside Cemetery. He says high school students share what Memorial Day means to them, during the ceremony at the cemetery. He says their speeches have been jaw dropping, in the past.
The parade starts at the corner of College Avenue and Appleton Street, at 9 a.m.
