An Oshkosh museum now has a display dedicated to those who lost their lives in the War on Terror.
The Military Veterans Museum hosted a ceremony yesterday, on Memorial Day.
It includes a portrait of Private First Class Brent Vroman of Omro. He was killed in Iraq in 2004.
His stepfather, Bill Degroot hopes the display will teach others about the sacrifices made. He says it shows that the fallen military members and their families aren’t from far away, but they’re local sons and daughters.
The museum has artifacts dating back to the 1890s. Museum Board President Ron Twellman says the new display should remind people that military members continue to make the ultimate sacrifice.
The museum’s hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday through Sunday.
