The city of Oshkosh is getting seven new buses.
GO Transit Director Jim Collins says 10 of their 16 buses are 2003 models. He says their expected useful life is 12 years. He says the city received a couple of grants to buy the new ones.
Collins says they’ll have an updated look. He says they’re keeping the green paint scheme, but they’ll have an updated look.
Collins says the new buses use clean diesel technology. He says they get better fuel mileage and produce about 90 percent fewer emissions than the 2003 models. He says they hope to replace the other three 15-year-old vehicles next year.
Collins says the new buses will ensure that passengers have safe reliable transportation.
