There are more expansion plans at Appleton International Airport.
With construction underway on a new hangar for Gulfstream, Air Wisconsin announced its own project this morning.
The airline runs flights for United, and CEO Christine Deister says now they have four planes that stay at the airport overnight. She says there’s an opportunity to do routine maintenance on them, but they only have room for two planes in their current facilities.
Deister says they’re building a 70,000-square foot hangar with enough room to fit four planes. She says they’ll create about 80 jobs because of the expansion.
Air Wisconsin plans to start construction next month and finish the project by the end of the year.
