A survey of food prices shows there’s a slight increase in popular summer items.
Sarah Marketon of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau says they looked at things like hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, ketchup and mustard.
She says the two biggest drops in prices were for ground round at 72 cents, and chocolate milk at 34 cents. Marketon says watermelon was up 88 cents and ketchup 22 cents.
She says the total cost for the 14 items was 33 cents higher than a year ago. It’s 44 cents lower than the national average.
