People will have a chance to get a guided tour of the Memorial Park Gardens on Appleton’s north side this evening.
A group is holding the event for the first time.
Lucy Valitchka is the volunteer coordinator for the Friends of Appleton Memorial Park Gardens. She says master gardener Steve Schultz will lead the tour, and it will be a great chance for people to learn more about the various plants and flowers, and ask questions.
The volunteer group took over the gardens several years ago.
The tour starts at the Scheig Center in Memorial Park, and it runs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
