The community was able to check out different possibilities for the proposed new library in downtown Appleton.
Consultants put together three different options for the layout, and they showed them off last night.
The children’s area was on the first floor. Mindy Sorg of OPN Architects says they’re looking at a drive-up book drop.
Sorg says that would put the library’s main collection on the second floor. She says they could also have a community room, rooftop terrace, and an auditorium on the third floor.
The city is exploring including the library in a mixed-use development on the site of the Soldiers Square parking ramp.
