The Hortonville school district is celebrating a renovated stadium today with a day’s worth of activities.
They include a boys soccer game, tailgate party, and dedication ceremony before the first football game tonight.
Superintendent Todd Timm says the district spent $1.2 million to correct drainage issues, put in new lights, replace the scoreboard, and put in field turf.
He says donors raised $1.4 million for a variety of other improvements. Timm says they expanded some of the bleachers and restrooms.
Timm says they’re still looking to raise $800,000. He says they started talking about the improvements about five years ago, and construction got underway in March.
