After claiming her Democratic opponent knelt during the national anthem, Republican Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch is apologizing.
Democratic candidate Mandela Barnes called the accusation a lie, and said he’s never knelt for the anthem.
Kleefisch tweeted two weeks ago, and said again on Monday, that someone told her Mandela did that at the opening ceremonies for the Wisconsin State Fair earlier this summer. She didn’t offer any proof.
