We are joined by Kelli Clussman with the Heart of the Valley Chamber, to learn more about the upcoming “Women You Should Know” luncheon. The event is part of National Business Women Week.
We also hear about an event geared towards middle schoolers. Future Ready gives students a better idea on how to start planning for their careers.
If you’re hungry, the Taste From the Heart event might be for you! The “Ultimate Tailgate” party lets you sample food from dozens of area restaurants.
We’ve also been following the news of Hurricane Michael. The historic storm has claimed 13 lives and has caused catastrophic damage to Florida’s Panhandle. I had the opportunity to check in with an old friend of mine who works as a meteorologist at WJHG NewsChannel 7 in Panama City Beach, Florida. Ryan took a few minutes this afternoon to share what the Panhandle is dealing with and what the past 48 hours have been like for folks down there.
