Governor Walker is accusing his Democratic challenger Tony Evers of plagiarizing material that was part of his state budget request for education.
Evers is the state superintendent of schools and he’s meeting Walker in their first debate tonight. Walker’s campaign shared the four sections of the budget taken without attribution from other sources.
In a statement, Evers says the document should have used proper citations. He says he’s directed his staff at the Department of Public Instruction to revise its protocol to prevent it from happening in the future.
