When State Senator Frank Lasee announced in Dec 2017 he would resign his seat to take a job in the Walker Administration, it left the 1st State Senate District without a representative, until a special election in June 2018 gave voters the chance to choose a new State Senator.
As in that special election, the general election on November 6 features Republican Andre Jacque, who represents part of the district in the State Assembly, and Democrat Caleb Frostman, who has held the seat since June.
The two squared off head-to-head on Fresh Take, sharing their views on economic development, incentives, healthcare, education, water quality, and road funding. Listen to both sides before you cast your ballot in this pivotal race, with control of the State Senate on the line.
