Governor-elect Tony Evers spoke with business leaders in downtown Appleton today at the annual New North summit.
Evers is asking business leaders to reach out to Governor Walker to veto a lame-duck bill that temporarily limits his appointments to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. He says hopefully they can use their influence to make changes.
The summit is at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center.
Evers also stressed the need to find a long-term solution to the transportation issue. He says surveys show businesses are concerned about access to good highway and train systems. He says that doesn’t happen on the cheap.
