Walker says the new governor will still have some of the strongest powers of any governor in the nation if the bills passed during a special session become law.
Walker says Governor-elect Tony Evers will have the power to veto legislation and have broad line-item veto authority. Walker made the comments on his Facebook page. He listed all the powers Evers will have and listed his criteria for deciding whether to sign the bills. He says they include: do they improve transparency, increase accountability, affirm stability, and protect taxpayers.
