A group wants the state attorney general to investigate sexual abuse by priests in the Green Bay Catholic Diocese.
Bishop David Ricken released a list of 47 priests that had substantiated accusations, after an investigative firm reviewed the church’s files.
Peter Isely is with the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. He says there are survivors with accusations against priests that aren’t on the list. He says in other state where they’ve had attorneys general investigate, they’ve found more cases that weren’t thoroughly investigated.
Isely sent a letter to Attorney General Josh Kaul today, calling for a review.
Priests from the Norbertine Order aren’t included on the bishop’s list. St. Norbert Abbey officials say they’re also going through an independent review, and their names will be released when it’s finished.
