Neenah, WI 54956
The story: Take three delicious, malicious wives, add three miserable, unloving husbands – and chill. That’s the recipe of Michele Lowe’s tantalizing new comedy that had Broadway audiences cheering. The Smell of the Kill revolves around Nicky, Debra, and Molly who have tolerated one another during once-a-month dinners for years. While their unseen spouses play golf in the dining room, the women exchange confidences for the first time revealing that all three marriages are on the brink of disaster and all three women are facing the challenges of their lives. Nicky’s husband has been indicted for embezzlement, Molly’s husband is stalking her and Debra’s husband is leaving her for another woman. When the men mistakenly lock themselves in a basement meat locker the women are faced with a life-or-death decision – should they leave the men out in the cold – permanently – or let them thaw?

This coming May The Gathering Space, in partnership with Rebel Alliance Theatre, will host the third annual LEAP Emerging Artists Reception and sale. Visitors to the Local Emerging Artists Show will be treated to an amazing blend of unique and original artwork from emerging and outsider artists. Photography, watercolor, prints, crayon and pastels, painting in oil and acrylic, sculpture and fiber art will all be represented. Music, poetry and prose readings, story telling, demonstrations, and delicious refreshments will also be a part of the experience.

LEAP is an acronym for A i i Local Emerging Artists ProgramA i i . Originally conceived by Rebel Alliance Theatre, LEAP is a program for providing support and exposure to local people who are just starting out in the arts, or who face special challenges in promoting their work. The show will be held at The Gathering Space, a 150 year old country church which has been lovingly restored and imagined as a venue for performances and special events. Admission to the LEAP Art Show and Sale will be $5.00 for adults. Children 12 and under will be admitted free. All proceeds from the LEAP Emerging Artists show and sale will benefit the LEAP program artists and Rebel Alliance Theatre.

This year's LEAP show and sale affords an opportunity for members of the public to reconnect with the artists of Rebel Alliance Theatre. Since Rebel's last performance in October of 2011, the Theatre' s actors and staff have been engaged in a period of rest and reassessment.
Omro ,Wisconsin 54963
Rebel Alliance Theatre and The Gathering Space present The LEAP Emerging Artists Reception and Sale

LEAP is an acronym for “Local Emerging Artists Program”.

They are still passionate about supporting the arts in the Omro area, though, and look forward to sharing their current individual projects with their friends and supporters.

Fine food and drink, amazing music by jazz keyboard player Dan Hagen, the chance to view and purchase unique works of art - and the opportunity support and encourage young people pursuing a career in the arts - all of this and more is waiting for you at the LEAP Emerging Artists Show and Sale.

Events: The Addams Family

<img src="http://radioadmin.wcinet.com/i/ct/s__af_0.gif" width="120" height="63"" border="0" align="left" vspace="4" hspace="4">Feb. 26 - Mar. 3, 2013
Fox Cities PAC
Appleton, WI
The weird and wonderful family comes to devilishly delightful life in The Addams Family. This magnificently macabre new musical comedy is “a visually satisfying, rib-tackling, lunatic musical that will entertain you to death!,” says Toronto Post City. Created by Jersey Boys authors Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, Drama Desk-winning composer/lyricist Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party), choreographer Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys) and Olivier Award-winning director/designers Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch (Shockheaded Peter) with creative consultation by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks, The Addams Family “is full of charm, wit and surprises that explain why it’s a hit on its national tour” (CBS New Orleans).

The Addams Family features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before — keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
England, 1914. As World War I begins, Joey, young Albert’s beloved horse, is sold to the cavalry and shipped from England to France. He’s soon caught up in enemy fire, and fate takes him on an extraordinary journey, serving on both sides before finding himself alone in no man’s land. But Albert cannot forget Joey and, still not old enough to enlist, he embarks on a treacherous mission to find him and bring him home.

This powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs, is a show of phenomenal inventiveness that is currently playing to packed houses in London and New York. At its heart are astonishing life-sized puppets created by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company, that bring to life breathing, galloping, charging horses strong enough for men to ride.
