There are 724 new confirmed coronavirus cases in Wisconsin today, and the number of overall deaths topped 1,000.
The state is reporting 5.3 percent of tests came back positive. That’s lower than yesterday’s 6.2 percent, and the seven-day average of 6.3 percent.
The state has had 61,785 confirmed cases overall. There are 9,305 active cases, and that’s 78 fewer.
Eight more people died, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths to 1,006.
Brown County has 76 new cases, after not reporting any yesterday. Outagamie has 23 more, Winnebago 19, and Manitowoc six.
Fond du Lac and Waupaca each added five. Calumet, Kewaunee, and Shawano all have four more.
Oconto has three new cases, and Green Lake one.
