One person is dead after a car fire in New London.
The New London fire department and New London police were called to the scene at 9:43 a.m. Saturday.
Investigators say an officer tried to put out the fire with an extinguisher, and saw that someone was in the vehicle. The fire department then arrived and put out the fire.
The victim has not been identified, and an autopsy will be done today.
Police say nothing appears suspicious at this time, and they’re continuing to investigate.
The fire happened in the area of Henry Street, east of North Shawano Street.
