The case of a missing Bellevue girl is leading an advocate to point out the warning signs of human trafficking.
15-year-old Kasey Vang was last seen on Saturday in Milwaukee and Brown County Sheriff’s deputies think she’s a victim of trafficking.
Shelby Mitchell is with the Sexual Assault Center in Green Bay. She says parents should watch out for changes in behavior and if children are meeting with people outside their usual group of friends.
Vang was in Milwaukee with her younger sister and investigators think they left the Green Bay area with a man they likely knew. They don’t think it’s a case of kidnapping.
Deputies say the sister is home and they’re trying to identify the man.
